Summary: This article discusses the complete lack of Internet in the country of North Korea. The government bans most forms of free communication, and internet is nonexistant in the country.
Reason: The reason I chose this article is because in a society as reliant on the internet as ours, I could not even imagine an entire country where no Internet exists. Obviously a dictatorship such as that in North Korea is an ethical debacle in itself, but what are the ethical reprocussions on the society? How does it make North Koreans think? Are they stuck decades in the past, with only government radio to tell them of the outside world, or are there other ways for them to get information? How does this effect their communication as a society?
Credibility: This article comes from the New York Times Online, a credible newspaper and online source.
