Summary: This article discusses two things; It first addresses the severe lack of Americans who understand what Net Neutrality is, and, it looks at poll data reporting that Americans would vote “no” on keeping Net Neutrality.
Reason: This is an interesting ethical issue, because it is a perfect example of the modern media and corporations to extort unknowing Americans to vote for their causes, without exactly knowing what they are voting for. Responses to this article included people citing advertizements on cable TV to vote “NO” on Net Neutrality bills, sponsored by the cable companies. Is this ethically right for a corporation to do? should Americans, perhaps, hear the side of the story from supporters of net neutrality, also? Of course, Americans have the right to do so, but most do not look for it.
Credibility: This article was posted on arstechnica.com, a popular IT media site. The article cites government-organized surveys, so the article seems credible to me. :)
