Google CEO: Techies must educate governments

Summary:  This article discusses a recent public symposium on computer science and telecommunications, specifically net neutrality and spreading the word to the masses.  One of the key speakers at the seminar was Google CEO Eric Schmidt, who said that “There is a generational gap [between those in congress and the majority of those on the Internet], and it’s very, very real.”  The speaker went on to urge those with knowledge of Net Neutrality and what it is, to spread the info among those less aware, so that all those who use the Internet are aware of what Net Neutrality is.

Reason:  This article got my attention because it relates directly to my scrapbook from two weeks ago.  The previous article was addressing the lack of people who really understand Net Neutrality, and the overwhelming majority of people who said they would vote against Net Neutrality in the future.  Obviously I wasn’t the only person who read that article, as here we have prominent tech executives emphasizing the need for the public, the majority, to know about an issue which will affect anyone using the Internet.
